Catholic composer and musician Lynn Geyer has just released a new album, “Journey to Forgiveness: The Way of the Cross.” Accompanied by an attractive booklet, the disc is a meditative aid to praying the Stations of the Cross. This album lacks nothing; the sound quality is excellent and each song is an adventure in Catholic contemporary music that accompanies the reflections for each station of the cross found in the booklet. The lyrics of each song are printed in full, and the facing page contains sharp photographs of the carved woods stations found in Lynn’s parish church.
The beauty of “Journey to Forgiveness” is that it can be used privately or in a parish church. The prayers for each station of the cross are optimally said by two lectors, to which the congregation responds.
